Ganga Dussehra 2024: ज्येष्ठ माह के शुक्ल पक्ष की दशमी तिथि को गंगा दशहरा मनाया जाता है. हिंदू धर्म की मान्यताओं के अनुसार, इस दिन मां गंगा का धरती पर अवतरण हुआ था. अपने पूर्वजों की आत्मा के उद्धार के लिए भागीरथ गंगा को पृथ्वी पर लेकर आए थे. गंगा दशहरा के दिन स्नान-दान करने का विशेष महत्व होता है. गंगा दशहरा पर हर साल गंगा नदी में आस्था की डुबकी लगाते हैं. ऐसा कहते हैं कि इस दिन गंगा में स्नान करने से सभी तरह के पाप मिट जाते हैं. इस बार गंगा दशहरा 16 जून, रविवार को है.
